Do not expect much from the so called 'international Commuity'.Whatever they define it .It was the ame for South Afica.Just maintain the struggle. It took a personal initiative of FW Deklerk for freedom in Apartheied Soujth Africa.Off course isolation also worked for south africas case. However , because of USA , isolatiokn is not bery effective, thus we have to maintain the struggle in all fronts.Diplomatic and other forms of pressure.

I am a son of Palestinian parents and I am proud of iit. I was born and raised in Lydda, now Lod Israel. We the Palestinians must continue to fight and fight until we are free and our land is our. Also, we should not depend on the other Arab leaders, those who have been letting us down for the past 50 years, and as we always say: each dog has its day. Saudi Arabia is just beginning to pay the price now. We MUST be united and strong and as long as we are united and as long as we speak the same language we will prevail and not even two faced Bush or the butcher Sharon could stop us.

I am half Palistinian and half English. I am ashamed to admit that I do not know much about my arabic culture, because I concider that it is my true origion and think of myself as a british Arab. My family were one of many Palistinians who were forsed from their homes in 1948 on account of the Isrealies who are and always have been backed by the western governments. My Grandmother still holds the deeds to her property in Palistine in her drawer, even though she realises there is little chance that she will ever see her home again. My cousin told me of someone who had visited Palistine and seen our Grandparents home and told him of who is living there now, some Jewish Russian family! He had tears in his eyes as he told me how unjustified it is that someone who is of no origional ownership of that house can live and breathe each day there, while we, the decendents of the rightfull owners will never be able to see a single brick. I do not agree with the fighting and violence that! is happening, and I do not agree with the suicide bombers. This behaviour is not what Islamic teachings suggest. However, what else is there to do? If Isreal was cut off from its backing and finicial support from the west, espeacily from America, they would stand no chance!

As a muslim I condemn any ind of murder or suicide. However I have been following the middle east fonflict for some time now and i am astounded that presedent Bush has given shiron a green light to wage war on the innocent poeple of palestine. Why are palestinian militant becoming suicide bombers? well the answer is right in Bushes face. why he cannot see that, the answer is in the usa elections last year. The world knew Bush would be dangerest as a Presedent, we are now seeing how true they were. Peace in palestine was in the pipeline in October 2000, but when shiron who we all know is totally against the peace process, delibaretly went into the grounds of the muslims 3 holiest place it marked the beginning of the end of the peace process. We must remember what shiron did in lebenon. and to think the poeple of isrial voted this person in knowing his back ground. shiron is a butcher so he has no interest in the peace process. It is obvious that the more shiron continues to se! and his tanks and f16's into the occupied and i repeat the words occupied territories the palistinians will reply in the only way they can to defend themselves by suicide bombers. I repeat what i said at the beginning i condemn any type of suicided. but i call on Bush to stop playing politics with innocent lives and stop shiron murdering innocent children. he calls it terrorism but I am sure he is fully aware of the 128 palestinian children who have been murdered by shirons in the last year, most of whom had no direct connection with the uprising some were even shot by snipers whilst playing in their own gardens and some murder in their school play ground during breaks.

I cry for the Palestinians. Your struggle is all up hill, into the wind and rain with loaded backs, no food remaining and discouraged. Never give up. Americans will never support you, the American Propoganda Machine will see to that. Americans don't know why you want Israel. That's Jewish Land. They think you should find your own land, or be thankful for the land "given" to you the the Israelis. We have no sense of History in America. Forgive us for that. We are not a country to ever ask why. We don't know why Pearl Harbor was bombed. We don't know what caused the World Wars, Korea, or Viet Nam. We can't comprehend that someone would give up their live to fly into a building. When you're the biggest, strongest, fastest, meanest country in the world, terrorism is not an option. We can crush at will. Bomb you of the face of the earth. Terrorism is foreign, only for the weak, fearful, thug, villain, and tyrant. Americans don't know what you are going to, and quite frankly they don't care. The American belief is "to the victor goes the spoils." There are Americans that feel otherwise, but just not enough of us. I'm sorry.

As an american I am ashamed that my country has for so long turned a blind eye to the injustices of teh world, and has openly supported an apartheid state for fear of the now ubiquitous calls of anti-semitism every time the STATE of Israel is criticized. We Americans have acted and continue to act with absolutely nothing but self-interest. In one sense our wealth has made others around teh world wealthy (all the time retaining an astoundingly large level of poverty within the US). We have no excuses for our actions on teh Palestinian front, though. Israel needs to exist, but so does Palestine. Zionism is racism, regardless whar armtwisting has brought the UN to renounce its previous declaration. Ariel Sharon and other Zionists are no different from Saddam Hussein, except that Palestine does not have Kuwaiti oil, and thus not in the interest of the US to help. Israel does not have a moral ground to stand on, and sahame on the world for bowing to the guilt of teh holocaus! t used by the Zionists in their expansion. This demeans not only the wold but the memories of those who died in WWII. Shame, especially, on the US. Shame as long as we oppress and torture others though our proxies for monetary gain. And, believe me, that is all the US cares about. Shame, shame, forever shame. What the arab world can do: use teh monetary and political dependency to wield power and free Palestine. Where is Arab unity? Where is Prince Faisal?

I would like to express first my deep compassion to all Palestinian people for everything that made them suffer for so long time. I do not know a lot about Israelis/Palestinian conflict, but definitely it is complex and cannot be easily solved. And it cannot be solved on political level only. The worst thing is that people on both sides developed profound mistrust and hatred toward one another and cannot see each other as equal human beings, cannot feel compassion and respect to the people on the other side. Without eliminating such sentiments just and long-lasting peace will never be possible to achieve whatever political solutions will be reached. You, probably, disagree, but I would put MUTUAL RESPECT as a first thing needed, peace will follow. As far as people see each other’s civilians as legitimate anonymous targets, as far as they think they can collectively punish each other this logic goes back and forth, constituting a closed circle, promoting endless rounds of violence. To get out of this desperately evil circle it is very important to give ordinary people from both sides a chance to know each other, to discuss their fears and hopes, to share their stories and to make friends. I have seen in Internet that there are some attempts to do that, but definitely what is done is far from what is needed. Keeping people divided, making barriers between them is surely part of the politics that does not want fair and long peace. And it is actually how it is – Palestinians are restricted from going to Israel, Israelis would be afraid of going to Palestinian territories, as they are becoming targets at once. But, as it seems to me, it is possible to arrange at least pen pal service – probably, not through Internet, as not many people have access to computers, but through regular mail, it is not extremely difficult to collect addresses and some sentences from those who want to participate and to distribute them at the other site. Somebody will definitely answer. I would also suggest trying to reach people in the USA, in Europe, as they do not really understand what is going on there. Sure, it will not solve any problem overnight, but will help to create atmosphere in which it will be easier to deal with situation in fair manner. I am from Ukraine, now in the USA. I do not know too much about relationship between USA and Israel, but what I know for sure is that majority of Israelis new comers are from Russia, Ukraine, Byelorussia and Eastern Europe, and that one even does not need any other language other than Russian on the streets in Israel. I know these people, their psychology and the reasons for their immigration. Definitely, they are not just monsters, but they are absolutely not educated in the history of the region, so can easily accept whatever officials are saying to them, and actually they do not have a choice, as they do not know anybody from the other side. So, I return to my major point – personal contacts and understanding are the key things, lack of them undermines any efforts to establish fair peace. You can place this letter anywhere you think it will be read (on the Web or real world) and give my address to anybody who might want to talk to me, I will be glad to share my thoughts. Hope to hear from you soon.

This is an excellent and worthy website which deserves all the praise that it gets, not just because of the excellent data, and information it gives us, but also because it makes sure that the ethnic cleansing en-masse which enabled the Israelis to establish their state over the rubble of Palestine is never forgotten by the world.Reminding the world Israel was once Palestine and that Palestine was NOT, as argued by the Zionists and their supporters not an empty desert, but a country full of people who should have deserved consideration for their rights and lives. Going through this website, all I can say is that the key to peace is justice, and the key to justice is truth.God Bless You all.

AN AMERICAN POINT OF VIEW. I am your typical American. I have a nice home, two cars, two kids, and voted for George Bush. My understanding of the conflict between Israil and the Palistians is limited. All I see is both sides trying to kill each other using all available means. I have turned a blind eye to the problem since the peace process broke down because, it seem unsolvable. I do however believe certain things: 1. The USA has nothing to gain by supporting Isrial, except that they do have a right to exist. I support that belief. 2. I want peace in the Middle East. 3. I want the Palistians to prosper. 4. I don't really get the land thing... but surely there is a way out of this mess. 5. I wish the shooting would stop just long enough that the vast majority of the American people could provide aid to the Palistian People. Schools, Clothing, Housing, jobs, anything at all to improve their lives. I would very much like to do that and stop the killing on both sides. Can you suggest a plan of action other than more violence and hate mongering ? Our we "OUT" because we are not muslims ? How do we repond so we can help the Palistians build a life for themselves ? Perhaps, both sides would prosper together if we made palistine strong economically. I do not believe the Americans are on anyones side. They only believe that Isrial has the right to exist as does Palistine. Your thoughts ?????

How can you STOP the PALESTINIAN GENOCIDE: http://www.leninist-current.revolte.net/ilc/en/ Statement and suggestions of Anti-imperialist camp organisation: Appeal for international mobilisations Palestine – stop the massacre! By visiting the historic centre of Qudüs close to the mosque Al-Aksha the Zionist general Ariel Sharon (who was the driving force for of the invasion of Lebanon in 1982 that caused the death of about twenty thousand people both Palestinians and Lebanese including the massacre of the Palestinian refugee camps of Sabra and Shateeila) has smashed the already wavering peace talks that have been running since 1991 without bringing anything positive to the Palestinians. He was accompanied by more than thousand USraeli soldiers and policemen and being supported by the most reactionary forces of Zionism and US imperialism. Against this tremendous provocation the Palestinians who already suffer from the cruel oppression and the Apartheid regime of the Z.O.G. (Zionist Occupational Gang=USrael) forces have raised arming themselves with stones and sticks like in the times of the Intifada. The rebellion that originated in Qudüs has spread like fire to the entirety of the occupied territories and for the first time also to USrael itself. The "Labourist" (manipulated) government of Barak (liar master) did not only not want to impede the racist and Zionist parade of Sharon but has even unleashed an attack of his police, his army and his special forces against the Palestinians killing only in the first two days more than forty (among them children) and injuring more than thousand (some of them in dangerous conditions). ... This terrible situation could even deteriorate into a tragedy of tremendous proportions and it will be once again the Palestinians who will again have to pay the price– for nothing else than the struggle for the recognition their national and democratic rights, for their dignity and liberty. We call upon all the democratic and Anti-imperialist forces, upon all who defend the cause of the martyred Palestinian people to organise all around the world demonstrations to stop the massacre and to express our solidarity with the Palestinian people in struggle: Stop the massacre! Punish those responsible for the repression. Force the West to stop any help to Z.O.G. (Armed Mafia USrael). Withdrawal of the USraeli army from the occupied territories. For the right to return for all Palestinian refugees. For the dismantling of all the illegal USraeli settlement in Palestine. For the full right of self-determination of the Palestinian people. Solidarity for all the oppressed people in struggle against imperialism and NATO as its armed instrument. There will be demonstrations in Rome and Vienna during this week. We call upon all to inform us about mobilisations in their countries in order to forge the broadest international front possible. We also call to support this appeal. For support and information, visit the Anti-Imperialist org.'s site; please: http://www.leninist-current.revolte.net/ilc/en/ http://www.antiimperialista.com/de/view.shtml?category=3&id=997972989&keyword=+ http://pub26.bravenet.com/forum/add.php?id=0&usernum=2154786270 http://antiimperialista.com/cgi-antiimperialista/forum/de/messageboard/view.pl http://www.amnesty.org/news/1996/51504996.htm http://www.web.amnesty.org/ai.nsf/index/MDE150491996 and Antifa&Anti-Racist volunteers of European Union's www.ENAR-EU.org Join us, please; there will be demonstrations in Rome and Vienna in next week

It makes me sad to see what the Israelis are doing to the Palestinian people. I can not understand why people who always claim to be the victum because of the Holocaust, are know doing almost the same to the Palestinian people. Why, the effect is that Israel is going to be more and more isolated by the world. Israel and the jewish people are getting too much support from the international governments. But 1 thing is sure Israel is losing its support from the majority of the European civilians. The only result in the long term is that there will be a big economic decline, less tourist who travel to Israel, boycott of Israeli products, less and less support for Israel etc. Everybody should BOYCOTT ISRAEL AND AMERICA. I wish the Palestinian people all the support and strength too fight this unhuman Israeli occupation.

thank you for the information, which clearly helps me better to understand the sad and tragic history of arabs and jew in palastine. By giving the jew the possiblility to settle in palastine, which thought to be a kind of solution for a problem in other parts of the world in that time, to settle in wrongly called scarcley inhabited land, but there, to find out, were villages full of people living peacefully for hundreds of years until that "cleansing" started on their expanses of the arab population, this drama continues until today and the policies in Gaza, Jerusalem and West-Band remind me more and more on the South-African Apartheid regime. There is not a day in Jordan I'm not meeting people who tell me about their Nakba. I wish and pray that one day peace prevails again, temporarly in two states, but look around the world, borders and land are not more reason to go to war, countries unite peacefully to get prosperous... if the leaders of both group are not strong now to! ! act for peace (and I mean here specially Israel, Israel must look on themself how ugly they are becoming, they need insight, fast and big insight of it's wrong)this beauty palastine with all great people will remain stuck in its trauma. So please get to the table again and try to speak....Luciano

This werbsite is excellent. If only U.S. citizens were more informed about what their $5 Billion dollar subsidy each year to Israel was sustaining!!! May I suggest you add to your bibliography: "Image and Reality of the Israel-Palestine Conflict",by Norman G. Finkelstein and "The Fateful Triangle" by Noam Chomsky? North Americans, particularly U.S. citizens, have to be THE most poorly informed of the industrialized countries. I hope your site can help change that.

The memory of Al Nakba will be always the fuel of this uprising , when the Israeli's are ready for peace (UN resolutions 242 & 194) then we'll talk , as long they continue their agression & savage ways of delivering their messages , then they shouldn't expect us to wait for their next message.

As a Jew it greatly shames me to see the evils perpetrated by Israel in the name of Judaism. However, I derive some consolation in knowing that one day the Palestinians will have a national museum - let's call it An Nakba - which will commemorate their suffering at the hands of the Jews, just as the Israelis have Yad Vashem and other museums to commemorate the Jews' suffering in the Holocaust. Foreign dignatories visiting the Middle East will, as is usual, be taken to Yad Vashem for wreath-laying ceremonies and to be told that we must all ensure that such evils never happen again. And then these same foreign dignatories will leave Israel on their way to what will then be Palestine to be escorted around the An Nakba museum where they will see photographs and newspaper cuttings by people people like Fisk (Independent), Hass/Levy (Ha'aretz) and Goldenberg (Guardian) and no doubt they will wonder at how the world leaders and the Israeli public were happy to let it all to ha! ppen, especially given such full and wide media coverage of events. And, remembering their recent visit to Yad Vashem a couple of days earlier, they will probably despair at the failure of man to learn from history.

Great Site, I am constantly amazed by the quality and excellent work provided by Palestinian websites. It is with great pain that we continue to see violence in the Holy Land. Hear is my story if you are interested: I am a Palestinian, who was born in Jerusalem in 1963, my family left for Canada after the 1967 (Six-Day War) conflict. I have been here in Canada since I was 4 & half years old (thank you Canada for providing sanctuary). I present a different view (Canadian/Christian Arab). I am saddened & angry that this is happening in the Holy Land. I suggest that a UN peacekeeping force be sent down immediately, to restore law & order. Then a full inquiry begun. The next phase should be full implementation of the various UN Resolutions (with free elections for all Palestinians worldwide afterwards, administered by the UN), I know I did not get to vote last time. At least that way we could have a chance to affect the extremist Palestinian groups opposed to peace. Surely this cannot be seen as Israel bashing. Following these steps might start the slow steps to peace. Remember that the main problem is the Arabs view Israeli Defense Forces as an occupying power, maybe UN peacekeepers can be more effective and humane. For what it is worth I really do not hate Jews or any other group of people, but I really loath Zionism and what it has done to separate generations of families like my own all over the world (I have family in every part of the world except the Far East). We Palestinians bleed like anyone else, have feelings like anyone else, and demand our rights like anyone else. There must be a better way to deal with mob violence than shooting and killing. If the Israelis could embrace Palestinians they would find loyal, helpful allies and no one could threaten them again. I pray for the Peace Now movement, and hope to one day to show my children the land of my birth that I cannot live in now. I did not ask to become a refugee, I have not seen some family members for over twenty years, they are now scared to death in their homes from extremists on both sides (like prisoners, is that not a shame). People that blindly support Israel & her policies, should, perhaps ask people like me what they mean in reality. Please help, promote peace! BTW: In my immediate family we have refugees from each stage of the ALNAKBA 1948 (my parents), 1967 (my sister & myself), and after 1967 (my brother who was born in Oct. 1967, he came to Canada when he was one and a half months old). There is noy many Uncles & Aunts left alive, & my Grandparents all have died without ever seeing their homeland again. For my Grandparents & Parents, it was twice in a lifetime that they lost everything. Joseph E. Saad (Proud Canadian, Palestinian refugee)

Read well the chronology section in this site and count the number of riots in which the Arabs killed Jews in Palestine before 1948. Perhaps the Israelis have good reasons to insist on few red lines in their concessions. Pehaps they know us better than what we're willing to admit. Perhaps the comments by Palestinians in this guest book are the best evidence that we have yet to mature to deserve peace. Think about it. Can we blame the other side for everything? Just something to think about...

I have spent a great deal of my time following news reports , stories , culture , history of the middle east. None has ever interested me like the palestinean-israeli conflict , and history . All my hope goes to peace in the middle east , with a separated palestinean and israeli land (it seems the only way). What i don't see happening is the survival of a palestinean state in the 21st century with lifestyles as good as they have now. From what i understand , most of the economy , jobs , food , water , electricity , and necessities are provided by help from the israeli system. Yasser Arafat is now ready to declare statehood , and the West Bank and Gaza Strip do not seem prepared to be isolated from the israeli system . I do understand the rage of the palestineans , but a government that is condoning rock , and firebomb throwing in the streets , and shootings that we can't count does not seem stable. With some ambition ,organization , co-operation , talks , education , job training and constuction these things are very possible in an isolated state . Until then the future does not seem ! bright for an independent state of Palestine. -Just dropping in with my thoughts...excellent website , and very informative ! Keep up the good work.

Many of us Germans have lost home and land at the end of World War II, and part of what was Germany in earlier times now belongs to other countries. We consider this as a righteous outcome of the Hitler Regime under which Germany tried to kill the jews within our country and attacked neighbour countries, thereby also persecuting and killing jewish inhabitants. Except for some old-fashioned people who can never leave something and head for something new, we live in peace and friendship with these countries who now posess those areas which Germany lost through its aggressiveness and stupid hate.

One part where a "PALESTINIAN CHRISTIAN" gave his testimony was quite horrible... how can he call himself a Christian, believe in Jesus Christ when he comes and curses the Jews... Genesis 12:1-3 says he who blesses Israel will be blessed, he who curses Israel will be cursed... I guess that's why the palestinians upto now are a poor people and unproductive... The Bible is true.
